Our approach blends evidence-based practices with creativity and connection, guiding each person to strengthen their roots and find refuge as they navigate life’s challenges.
Life can feel overwhelming, relationships can be complicated, and emotions can be messy. But you don’t have to figure it all out alone. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to explore your thoughts and experiences in a way that truly makes sense for you.
I’m Nevedha White, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of The Rooted Refuge. I hold a Master of Social Work, along with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Social Work from the University of South Florida. My academic training and years of clinical experience have given me a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, human development, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
I have experience working with individuals of all ages—including children, young adults, couples, and families. My specialties include supporting neurodivergent individuals, navigating attachment and identity, and helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also have a deep passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals, those from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, and people living with chronic illness and pain.
Over the course of my career, I have supported clients in community mental health, outpatient family services, crisis centers, and intensive care programs. My training in CBT, DBT, play therapy, art therapy, and animal-assisted techniques allows me to adapt therapy to meet each person’s unique needs. I have also developed and facilitated therapeutic groups that focus on coping skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.
At The Rooted Refuge, I bring all of these experiences together to create a safe, affirming, and inclusive practice. My work is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and respect for each individual’s story. Here, you’ll find a space to heal, grow, and build meaningful connections—with yourself and others.
